NEMS Membership

What is the NEMS Membership?

The NEMS membership is a yearly fee racers pay to help cover the costs associated with running the organization and holding our races. This includes the parties, prizes, awards, marketing, and of course our dedicated support team that helps to make it all possible. 

How much does the membership cost?

The cost of the NEMS membership is $35 per racer per season.

What are the benefits?

In addition to helping produce an awesome race experience, NEMS members also receive some great benefits such as:

  • Discounts and special offers from our sponsors 
  • Early access to camp registrations (camp spots are limited and sell out quick)
  • End of season Overall, Discipline, and Class rankings
  • Eligibility to win year-end awards and prizes

Is the NEMS membership required to race?

We encourage all racers to purchase a membership in order to help cover the costs that go into making the races possible, but a membership is only required as follows: 

  • REQUIRED
    • If you race in more than two (2) races in a season.
    • A single day event with two (2) races counts as two (2) races towards this requirement.
  • NOT REQUIRED
    • If you race in 1 or 2 races in a season.
    • If a racer is competing in a REGIONAL or JOINT event AND is already a paid member of another division (see below).

NEMS Membership Exemptions:

  • High School and College students (Undergrad & Grad) are exempt from the membership requirement. 
  • It is the racer’s responsibility to notify NEMS if they fall into an “exempt” category.


What if I have a membership with another region?

If NEMS is not your primary region, but you plan on racing in more than two (2) NEMS races, outside of a Regional Championship and/or Joint event, a racer is required to purchase a NEMS membership.

If I have a NEMS Membership, but race in another region's event, am I required to purchase that region's membership as well?

  • Racers are encouraged to review the membership guidelines of any region in which they participate.

Is the NEMS Membership refundable or transferable?

  • NEMS does not issue refunds for purchased memberships.
  • The NEMS Membership is not transferable to another racer and cannot be carried over to another race season.
