You win some, you lose some, and this week we did a little of both. Ironically within hours of each other, NEMS both lost and gained a race. To be honest, weirder things have happened over the last year, so let's get to the details.
First, the bad news. Unfortunately, Mt. Sunapee has informed us that they would not be able to hold our race that was scheduled for Sun. Jan, 9th. After reviewing our calendars, it is unlikely that another date will be available. I am sure your legs are breathing a collective sigh of relief (if you've raced down Lynx you know what I'm talking about), but I know everyone will be bummed to miss out on Sunapee again this season.
Now the good news. I am excited to announce that NEMS will be heading back to Cranmore Mountain in North Conway, NH on Sun. Feb. 27th for a Dual Parallel Panel Slalom. This just came together so we are still working out the details. What I can tell you is that it will be an OPEN race (no USSS license required), and it is sure to be exciting to both race in and to watch!
We are still working on a few more races so expect more updates soon. Below is the current schedule.
