Update: Whaleback Slalom Races Are Cancelled.
I spoke with the Whaleback this morning and it looks like they will not have enough snow to hold our races on Saturday. While they did pick up a few inches of snow over the weekend, and are expecting a little tonight as well, they have not been able to make enough snow to get adequate coverage on the trail. It sounds like just getting down from the chairlift to the start gate would be a challenge and coverage on the race trail is thin in many spots.
Next Steps:
- No additional action is required by you at this time.
- The races have officially been cancelled. There will be no makeup races for this specific event.
- Race registration has been closed. No one can register or unregister from the event.
- Registered racers do not need to unregister and will not be charged for the event.
